We won't have a Christmas this year, you say
For now the children have all gone away;

We couldn't have a Christmas that they didn't share.

For Christmas means things that money must buy.
Misfortunes and illness have robbed us we fear
Of the things that we'd need to make Christmas this year.

We won't have a Christmas this year you weep,
For a loved one is gone, and our grief is too deep;
It will be a long time before our hearts heal,

But if you lose Christmas when troubles befall,
You never have really had Christmas at all.

THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT WE STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND

A BOX WITH ALL MY LOVE

A little angel questioned me,
“Why are you so sad?”
So I told the little angel,
The reason I felt bad.

I told the angel that my love,
Was taken way too soon.
And that I just feel terrible
Ever since my love’s been gone.

The angel couldn’t understand,
“If your loved one is in Heaven,
Why are you so sad then,
You must have been mistaken.

Heaven is a wonderful place.
There are no tears and pain.
And you will be there, too, one day.
And you’ll see your love again.”

Then the angel flew away
Up to the sky above,
And in the angel’s arms,
Was a box with all my love.
